H22A Civic owners please read
okay i have a 97 civic with a 95 JDM H22A. i bought my axles from raxles.com , the guy sounded like he knew what was going on so i trusted him and bought my axles from him. so i go to install and get it all in and start it and go to take off and i didn't move.. the right axle is to short. it goes in and looks like it will fit but when i connect the lower ball joint on the knuckle it doesn't go all the way in.. it sits in there like it fits but doesn't i think it is about half inch maybe an inch to short. my question is do u know how long ur right axle is ?? mine measures 23-1/2 inches long.. please help thanks

How do axles look like they sit in there like it fits?? Sounds like you do not know how to install axles very well. The axles are either in or not. make sure you tighten the hub nut all the way in and that the axle is in all the way into the driveshaft. Soudns to me like the axle that goes in the tranny housing is not in. An axles has to be realy really short for the car not to move forward in a straight ilne. Its when you make turns is what the length matters the most. Just look over it again. I know my friend got raxles axles for his H22a Civic and they fit perfectly.
how loose are the clips suppose to be ?? shouldn't it snap in the trans and kinda lock in there ??
it goes in there alot better i used the snap ring off my stock axles works great now thanks ..... this goes to show if u slow down = less (dumb) mistakes
I was thinking about doing h22 into my eg and was wondering what you guys know about it... i hear that it doesn't handle for **** because the understeer is massive also i heard the transmission hung low but i figure you guys can let me know... i plan on doing some track(road NOT drag) but not like all the time... i just kinda wanna know how much it can be corrected and how bad it will be afterward... thanks in advance
