Strange...very strange.
So my ABS light has been comming on frequently. Haven't been able to figure out why but recently I got stuck in Seattle traffic and noticed something. After stop and go for a little while, I would hit the brake, all the lights in and out of my car would dim, the engine would try to die...and the ABS light would come on. So, i was guessing that the battery is goin out...would make sense that the ABS system when coupled with every other electronic in my car would take a lot of the juice my battery is putting out.
Went to check codes...NO JUMPER...can it sometimes get stuck up under the dash there? Is the ABS controlled by a differant computer unit? Sorry for newb questions...first time i've EVER had a car with ABS and first time obviously i've had to deal with the problems.

fluid is fine. Also hear that "buzzzzzzzzz" when I first crank my motor over. Then i'm also getting a weird clunk when hitting the brakes that I mostly hear going through drive-through fast food joints. Might be related somehow. BTW, i searched everything I could to do with ABS and havn't found anything related with answers.
my ground connection was messed up before all corroded and stuff, so i made it bigger and cleaned it up and it helped out.. so maybe make sure all your grounds are good..
mine was getting messed up from my stereo stuff though

Wow, thats a very good point...didn't think of that affecting this. I have a really bad ground loop in my car thats causing that crappy ground noise wistle/buzz crap in all my speakers. Could have a lot to do with this...

take it to a garage where they can test your altenator to see if its charging the battery, if the altenator is fine you will need to replace the battery.. either way you need to replace the battery. first check the altenator.
if you had grounding problems it would be more of a "flickering,"or "on/off" problem instead of dimming...

i had somewhat of the same problem... all my lights, radio and car would try to die when shifting at high rpm's the cause of this was that my + wire (that was connected to my amp) was touching metal... everytime i would shift the battery would move and the wire would touch for a second and cause everything to short and die out on me...it also cause the ABS light to come on

Hard to tell where the buzzing is when I start it up, just had lots of ppl telling me its the ABS.

I had almost that exactly what happened to me with my original grounding issue. In turn the power wire to my amp ended up touching the remote wire when i was taking my speaker box in and out of my car to tune the box. Popped either something in the amp or my deck...most likely my deck cause I now have a whistle comming out of all my speakers...
Seems like this might just be more of a power issue than anything else. Gonna replace my battery first cause I need to get a Gel Cell anyway cause of all my electronics.

When you bleed the ABS system (94-97) the ABS pump cycles when you turn on the ignition. Your ABS unit may be failing. Have you pulled the DTCs from your ABS system? It is done the same way as a CEL, but you look at the ABS light on the cluster for the codes.
I haven't done that yet. To be honest, i dont even know where the little plug is to jump. I think it might have been ripped out when my ECU got stolen a year ago. Its nowhere to be found, can they sometims get stuck up in the dash somewhere?

I must be blind or completly retarded cause I cannot find the damn thing ANYWHERE.
