Default CEL's on, no VTEC... common problems?

Hey guys, my CEL came on this afternoon and I noticed that VTEC no longer engages. Any ideas on the most common problems that would cause this?

Oil level's fine, has recently been changed, my car's not modified at all (bone stock, never over-revved etc etc) 115,000 miles on the clock...

Any ideas?

Do you know how to pull the CEL code? I would start there.

-VTEC Solenoid Valve
-Open or Short in VTEC Solenoid Valve circuit
-VTEC Pressure Switch
-Open or Short in VTEC Pressure Switch Circuit
-ECM

those are the first things youll need to troubleshoot.

you said your oil level is fine, right?
check the wiring.
solenoid is one wire, goes to A4 on ecu
Pressure switch is 2 wires, hot to D6, ground to A26.
check vtec solenoid screen to see if its clogged (pull solenoid off the head).

Code 22 is vtec oil pressure switch. You can check the pressure switch for continuity to make sure its ok, then check your wiring, you might want to invest in a dvom.

Can you spare the acronyms and speak English please? I have a digital volt meter if that's what you're saying.
