I'm about to send back the necessary paper work to Allstate so they can begin to settle my claim. Here is a copy of the letter I am sending along with it . It states all the extras i've sent along with it. Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to just get a fair price for the without too much aggravation. I'm sure Allstate hasn't seen too many Type R claims, so maybe I could give them an education. Thanks in advance....

Thanks. I've enclosed probably 25 Autotrader/Cars.com/Ebay ads for 2002/2001 Rs. They range anywhere from $18000-26000. I'm hoping to show them how much it would cost to replace my car with a similar car. It probably won't do any good, but it's worth a shot.
With that being said, I still would not show them your for sale info. They will try to go off of that price not what the other R's are for sale for. Good luck with it and report back what they say
actually, I got about $1000 more out of state farm by showing them ads for similarly priced vehicles.. ones at dealerships tended to have the most impact..
the money they are paying you is to replace exactly what you had.. find ads that closely match it and they shouldn't be able to argue against it..
