Car is making a chriping sound but i can only hear it at idle or at very low rpms. You think this could be related to the bad ivac, which I am changing most likely 2morrow

it sounds like its coming from the opposite side of the timming belt. The car has 120k on it. Timing belt was changed once im not sure when though.

How do you have your valve cover breather and PCV routed? You don't have them routed together by any chance do you? If so, that is your problem..
