Default ITR or LS distributor?

I recently replaced my distributor with an aftermarket distributor from distributor king, and it turns out that they sent me a TD44U which is designed for a 92-95 integra non-vtec. I noticed the difference when I tried to put my factory cap on it, is this going to be detremental at all to the perfomance of my motor?? I put it on and it seems to run fine for now, does anyone know if I should be concerned?

well, they are the exact same when it comers to internals and functions.

2 questions:
-did it bolt right on or did you saw a leg off the dizzy?
-If you are obd2, did you have to repin your connector?

No it bolted right up, I'm obd1, all the plugs matched up fine, no problems with mounting it.

well if it bolted right up, its for a vtec car. the LS head has different hole positions

you have nothing to worry about

Oh no sorry, I have a 94 gsr with an itr head that came with an itr distributor (I guess), but everything bolts up fine. My old Honda cap won't fit this new one though which makes me wonder what the hell I have. It does bolt up and run just fine. But if this is a non vtec distributor would it be detremental to anything??

It won't be an ITR dizzy, they were all OBDII, your car is OBDI. Who knows what the hell you had. And no, not all OBDI B-series VTEC dizzy's are the same. I use a 94 Integra GS-R dizzy on my race car, quite different than any other OBDI dizzy.

The entire housing is a little larger and the cap is a different shape, which pushes the four wire terminals a little further apart from each other. Supposed to reduce spark scatter at higher RPM's. That is the obvious differences, not sure about other internal differences. Will have to check if the coil is different and if the CKP sensor has the same number of teeth on it.

My car (EG hatch with B18C) came with a 93 GSR dizzy, it ran much better at high RPM after I switched to the 94 GSR dizzy. Which sucks because the 94 dizzy is prob the most damn expensive dizzy I have ever bought. I only use OEM.

if it bolted up then it is NOT a NON VTEC dizzy.....a non vtec dizzy will NOT bolt up to a vtec head and visa versa!!
