Default Power steering question

is there an idle or belt tensioner for the PS pump belt?

im trying to peice together some bolts and **** to put power steering back into my Si shell i just swapped my b16 into and i dont think i have everything..

anybody know what kind of bolts to use when mounting the pump to the bracket?

also will the 5th gen civic PS lines be compatible with a JDM b16 PS pump?

The PS belt tension is adjusted via the adjust-bolt that stands straight up on the top of the pump, after you loosen the two mounting bolts on the left side of the pump.

Your existing PS lines should work just fine. Was the PS system completey removed from your SI shell? There are two return lines, the high-pressure line that bolts to the top of the pump, and the fluid cooler that bolts behind your grill.

thanks for the help, no all the lines are still there i belive, the high pressure and the other lines, and the cooler too. for some strange reason they took the resivor(sp) and nothing else

**EDIT** u wouldnt happen to have a picture of the adjusting bolt in the engine bay would u?

Make sure you loosen the two mounting bolts enough before using the adjust bolt. If the adjust bolt becomes a bit too hard to turn by hand, and there is still not enough belt tension, I usually just take a 12pt. socket (I forgot what size...22MM, maybe?) with a 3/8" drive and have at it. Be careful not to over-tighten.
