depends what you're doing. brembo blanks and nice pads like Hawk HPS are great for most people.....and you can do a rear disc swap from a 94-01 integra to help the braking system be more balanced

I vote for stickier tires!!!

But what kinda $$$ we talkin about? Like ^^^, The most cost effective would be things like new Pads & Shoes. They don't require a lot of downtime, are manageable DIY projects, and can instantly improve your braking performance. New Rotors/Drums can be a good thing to upgrade/replace, especially if you've been running on the same ones for a LONG time (they're generally quite durable, though).

If you want to adjust your pedal feel/travel, you can mess with your hydraulics. Simply changing your fluid may give you the change you need, especially if you go with Hi-Perf stuff. Stainless Steel Brake Lines are a relatively easy upgrade (requires re-bleeding), but this won't create too much of a difference unless this vehicle sees a lot of track time. Swapping out your BMC and/or BB is a common upgrade. Whether this gives you the pedal behavior you want is another matter.

Rear Drum to Disc Conversions are possible, but aren't necessary. The biggest gain will be if this car gets tracktime, as Discs tend to exhibit fade less and later than Drums. Drums are sufficient for most highly spirited street driving. There are a lot of potential problems with this conversion, and it can get expensive depending on the condition of your donor parts, and how you go about doing it.

If you want your car to stop quicker... TIRES!
If you want to upgrade your brakes, then you need to prioritize what you want to get out of it.

Help us help you!
