WTF?
I've never seen anything like that before? What the hell does a little rubber strap have to do w/ your intake? Where did you buy this mystery intake?

Edit- youngnewb may be right. just seems wierd to me

Yeah do that.
I've made/bought/installed like 6587687564x10 intakes and I've never needed a little rubber strap thingy (I think that's the technical term)

Ummm.. I have no idea where that would go. Maybe a wrap for the blue tube?

ok, now everythings off. i got the breather hose off the v/c, and the air sensor out.

but now, there are two hardlines stuck to each other. i think one is a coolant line, and the other i need to remove, it seems like they are fused together.

<-- noob.

i got one of those rubber thingers with my intake from ebay, and called the manufacturer and they told me it was to line the hole in your fender where the intake drops down, so when it rattles it doesnt wear through the intake tube...i personally didnt use mine

yellow = what i need to get rid of

red = coolant line i need to keep.

red + yellow mounted together and cannot be removed.

do i need to go buy another hose?

ya man your not gona go anything about that other tube, just leave it there, i filed mine down to where it meets the other tube so it wasnt so cumbersome, but theres really nothing you can do about it

i got a hose connector from homedepot and removed those 2, connected the coolant lines with the hose connector and threw that piece away

I don't know if it's okay or not, but I removed that piece and ran the coolant line from the block directly into the throttle body. I would imagine running it through the hard line would dissipate some heat, but I haven't experiences any ill effects.
