intake install question
Hi, I installed a new intake on my 02' TL-S last night and when I turned on the car, everything was fine. But there is a loud deep hummmm coming from the intake, I know an intake makes it slightly louder but this is pretty loud. So I swapped the stock box back, minus the lower reasonator but its still humming. Does anybody know what the cause of this is? car runs fine though. Thanks

Re: intake install question (Fobstylez)
I found this on the other forum.

It sounds like to me the intake humm is normal, but mine is loud. I guess it makes sense that our cars have an intake reasonator. So my question now is, any tl owners, how loud is your hum after the install?
thanks

fobstylez, make sure that your box is properly secured. there are two female holes on the lower portion of your air box, put the top piece in those holes and then bolt the box down.
its very common that the female tabs on the lower portion of the air box break due to mishandling
