how much boost for stock sleeves?

Default how much boost for stock sleeves?

sup guys,
im putting forged pistons/rods in my LS,but im not sleeving it. im wondering how much boost i can run saftly without cracking the sleeves? right now with stock internals im on 10 pounds,but i hope to push 13-15 after the rebuild with the forged internals.

people have safely run over 20 psi on factory sleeves. its all in the tune. detonation will crack everything. dont let it happen.

yeah,thats why i need/getting forged internals. took out the pistons for a stock rebuild and 2 of the pistons ringlands had chunks missing,so i ordered the forged pistons/rods. im glad atleast it was the pistons taking the abuse,and not the block.

how about you tell use your power goals and not some psi number..

how about i didnt ask anything to do with power,i asked how much boost the stock sleeves will hold. read,it does you good.

He's telling you that you are asking the wrong question. PSI has NOTHING to do with how well your sleeves will hold, it's how much hp you are making that matters.

I can boost 25psi and if I'm only making 250whp the stock sleeves will be fine.

On the other hand, I could be boosting 15psi on a different turbo making 500whp and the stock sleeves may not be fine.

Your psi numbers are useless and don't tell us **** about your setup or what it can handle.

fine...stock sleeves are good for 30psi.

No you got it wrong, they're good for 70psi.

yea they CAN hold 70psi fine but i didnt want to tell him too high..
