Default short shifter rattles....

i bought this ss off of ebay for like $30. I got it installed, but had to add a bushing. It also touched my exhaust and so the thing rattles like crazy!! Did I do something wrong on the install or is it the shifter is too long? NEone with the same problem with a cheap shifter?

I think the shifter is too long. I know someone who has the same problem on his Civic. My ss rattles, but that's because it needs a bushing to make the fit a bit tighter. Dunno what to tell you...sorry.

I had the same problem with the previous short shifter I had. It was really for a civic but the manufacturer claimed it would work on an Integra. It installed fine but it rattled. So I went and got the DC short shifter and now the problem is gone.
