Did you not put the two rear linkage bolts back in?

The answer is: You bought TenzoR, thats almost as bad as putting APC on your car (but not as bad). You didn't have any problems shifting before you installed the short shifter? One problem I have found with short shifters is they throw off the balance needed for precise and trouble free shifting. Not sure if you have ever noticed, but quite a few Honda linkages have little weights on them in some parts. I personally have a Skunk2 short shifter and have had no problems. Good luck with this one though.

I had a Hurst that hit my exhaust too, but only in 3rd. it was hitting the heat sheild, and I just bent it out of the way.

Or just bend your exhaust hangers a bit to drop the pipe a little.
