Default Car Revs at idle from 1000-3000 and back on its own

Yeah so i was driving the other day and as i pulled up to a stop light the car just started revving on its own. The idle jumped from 1000-3000 and wont stop. Its a continuous pattern, meaning its not sporadic.

I have checked all vacume lines.

The TB is stuck shut while it is doing the idle jump.

I just took off the IACV, cleaned it, and put it back and still the same prob.

NO CEL LIGHTS AT ALL

Car is/has been running rich. Atleast i think it is because there is black **** all over my rear bumper.

95 GSR/JRSC tuned with HONDATA s200b

Any ideas? The car drives fine when its not at idle. I havnt pushed it since i found out abotu the prob, but everything seems normal. The boost guage is acting fine.

Thanks alot!

maybe but wouldnt that throw a CEL? Ive had CEL 14 before, (IACV) and it was because of a wiring issue. THanks for the input, maybe ill look into that.

had the same problem last night, check ur idle control valve on the back of the intake manifold and check ur coolant levels. All mine needed was more coolant, i was low. cleaned idle right up. (my setup t3 b16, stock motor.)

Yeah sorry about this post, After i kept on searching I figured out it was the FITV.

If anyone needs a refference in the future, here is what i did.

1. Take off the TB
2. On the underside of the TB, there are 3 10mm bolts holding the FITV on. Remove these and the FITV.
3. Remove the two scews holding the endcap on of the FITV.
4. Screw the white doughnut shaped thing all the way in.
5. Reassemble.

I had this same problem. I even went as far as tightening the plastic stopper in the FITV. Once the car was running it vibrated so much the stopper would wiggle loose again. A well known member gave me some advise, "get rid of it" So I made a plate with three holes and some Hondabond. Problem solved.
