what will happen if my clutch and pressure plate is bad ??
What happens is the RPM's rise quicker than they should. A nice test is to get on the highway in 5th, and floor it. If the RPMs start climbing and your speed doesnt then one is bad.
As a side note, if the Pressure plate goes bad, the clutch will follow suite since it will be slipping all that time anyhow. Either way BOTH should be replaced when you go down there. Its alot of work to have to be back under there in another 6 months. (especially if you are PAYING someone to do it)
Yes, the combo will grip a little. It really depends on how bad the condition of the components are. It starts out barely slipping, and if you leave it alone long enough the setup will get horrible. Eventually the engine will simply rev in gear like it does out of gear and you will go nowhere.
