can I use stock clutch with a licht ened flywheel. SEARCHED
Hey guys I am currently having a h22 engine swap done (my motor was knocking)
the shop doing the job said that the old h22 (one being swaped out) had a performance clutch and flywheel, but the clutch needs to be replaced they said that if i go back to a stock dealer clutch I will have to change the flywheel back to stock. Is this true? I looked around on the net and all the posts I have seen said that a stock clutch should be able to work with the lightened FW no problem.
thanks for your help.

kinda of a dumb question... a clutch is a clutch, a flywheel is a flywheel; it should work if its made for that application as long as its not a twin disc or something out of the ordinary. Why dont you just buy an aftermarket clutch? exedy has stage 1 clutches which is about same as stock specs.
