Default need your thoughts on this situation

how would you handle this situation i work at a buisness and theres a customer that comes here and has a single cam civic thats running a turbo charged setup and makes around 220whp now he wants to go b-series boosted so he just bought a 500whp setup and a full race turbo kit with a t67 setup. heres where the debate stands right now the kid and when i say kid he just turned 18 and hes never driven a car with more than 250hp and just recently learned how to drive stick and by knowing that would you feel comfortable tunining the car to 400 to 500whp and letting him drive off in it with that much power?

all i think of is the guys parents or something trying to sue cuz there son died in a car accident from being unable to control the car that i tuned let me know what your thoughts are

I personally wouldn't feel safe on letting him run around with that much power for a beginner, unless the parents sign some kind of consent form making them unable to sue in the case that something of that nature happens, good thinkin'.

i'm sure your business has some sort of contract protecting you from what you said and from any fault of blowing the engine up, or whatnot. if you don't have a contract, i suggest getting one if you're that worried about it. he is 18, so he shouldn't need any parent permission to sign it. i say, if he agrees to the terms in your contract and pays the bill, tune it. then, if he dies in an accident, legally, its his fault. whether or not you'll feel like you were responsible is up to you.

Well one thing about is to not argue with the office manager about it because I assume that you like your job, but I would have the customer (since he is 18 and can legally sign a contract) sign a consent form or something of that nature.
