need some help. the motor wont crank. it clicks n thats it. checked the starter at Discount Autos. its fine. if i push start it, it runs. connections look to be fine. i just threw in a act extreme pressure plate, stupid question but would the start hit the pressure plate? the lights all turn on so i dont think its the battery. after push starting, while driving normally the temp gauge goes up when im accelerating. but falls back to normal operating temp when i slow down. whats going on ??? need help

Are you sure you starter is fine? And how are ALL of your grounding points, and what did it do before this, did it just start right up or what? More information needed.

 

how is your battery?

Once your car is running it runs of the alternator,

maybe your battery is shot.

Things to check

1.) Starter
2.) Grounds (including trannyground)
3.) Battery terminal and positive wires
4.) Batter
