Another Method to Get Rid of O2 CEL
I've heard of the "ball of foil" method and seen the resistor boxes, but here is a solution a few of my EVO and Suby freinds use. Although the info in the thread is pretty Suby specific, I'd like to try it and see if it will work (I'm expecting it will). I'll just basically copy and paste it from a Suby forum -

"1.Go to your local auto parts store and buy this:

or you can also use the #42002 version, all your preference:

2. With a 1/2" drill bit, bore out only ONE of the anti-foulers in order to accommodate the size of the o2 sensor head. Screw in your o2 sensor into the bored out anti-fouler then screw that into the other untouched anti-fouler and voila! Here is a pic of my STi with this setup:

Some additional details... It works by pulling the sensor out of the stream, so it will not detect as much unburned fuel. However, if you pull it out too far, (Or if you have a lot of exhaust leaks) you will get P0139 Rear oxygen sensor circuit slow response. The range of acceptable seems wider on 02-03 than it is on 04+ and it may require a bit of tunning. If you get the P0139, first check to make sure there are no exhaust leaks between the engine and the rear o2 sensor. If there are none, you may need to widen the hole in the second spacer as well. I have seen some which required only one spacer.
On the other hand, if you are still getting the P0420 with the system above, you may be running unusually rich. Do some datalogging, and check your tune."

I actually dont have the problem (yet). At one point though, I was using a cat with 1 O2 bung, so I tried the foil method on the secondary. The inspector said that although it succeeds in keeping your CEL off, it still isnt good enough to pass inspection because it just leaves a constant "searching for cat" message with the OBD2 scanner. I'm thinking this method would be a more direct approach to fixing the problem.

i used to use a relay box thing worked good got it from http://www.kteller.com but i can't find it on there web site you could try and call them

importparts.com sales this also(http://www.importparts.com/sho...=2770).i been useing this on my wifes cl for the past 2 years and its works great.
i used the foil trick on my type r also worked good. the only thing i might see as a problem with the anti-foulers is that on the integra cats the rear 02 aim a little toward the front of the exhaust rather than on a 90 degree angle to the exhaust.
so i would think the exhaust would be blown up the hole into the anti-fouler and still cause a check engine light. from what i could see on slot of the other cars this trick was used on and worked they were all in the pipe 90 degrees to the exhaust. but id be interested to see if it actually works in a integra cat at the angle the sensor sits.

Happen to open that thing up before you put it in? I bet its the same thing that Black R makes, he just used that diagram thats been floating around. Its literally two resistors, ones inline with one of the wires, and the other ties two together. Total cost is 2 resistor packs from radio shack, solder and shrink wrapping.

it was glued shut, but im sure its the same as everthing else. it works so im happy. wireing isnt my strong point.

pretty much, but keep in mind, foil works as temporary.. you will still throw codes.. if you're obd1, you only need 1 sensor to worry about.

when i did mine i put the foil around a screwdriver handle then slide the 02 sensor into that then put tape around the top of it to keep anthing from getting in there. then i put 2 ziplock sandwich bags over that to keep it out of the weather and zip tied it to the shifter stablelizer bar.
on another note. i just finished doing the anti-defouler mod to a RSX and took it for a 20 mile drive to make sure it wouldnt come on. so far so good.
