Default 14b on log manifold w/ 38mm tial?

I have a 14b (td05h) that was just rebuilt, but is missing the internal wastegate. I was wondering if I could just run that turbo on a log manifold with a Tial 38mm w/ a 9psi spring with no problems?

Do I have to do anything with the flapper that the actuator arm connects to or can I just leave it alone?

Make sure to upgrade the womulator shaft if you're going to go with the external wastegate.

you need to seal the wastegate flapper whether you weld it shut or make a solid arm that holds the lever shut either way it needs to stay shut otherwise it will just bypass exhaust and you wont make much if any boost.
