Default Turbo sizing - what's about the turbine and housing ...

I've a basic question about turbo selection. I've searched and read the FAQ and turbo basics, but can't find really a good answer. I've overseen it, please don't flame, please point to the right direction.

Everyone says to read the compressor maps. Ok, done. But what's about the turbine housing and turbine wheel trim?

Often you can decide the different A/R's. Wheels goes hand in hand with the matching housing, so far i know.

But how to decide, which one is the right turbine A/R for my setup?

I read often ppl say, go with the .48 for better midrange, or go with .63 for better topend. (just as example, readed this for B16 setup)

Is there a way to decide the right A/R and wheel. I know, i can measure the pressure between the head and the turbo - if pressure is too high, go with a bigger A/R.

Thx,
Doc

not really... There's more to it than that.... believe me. What are your goals and what are you trying to do?

It's for my new project.

B16A2 Build & Sleeved. (9:1 CR) Turbo will be a Blowzilla (T3/GT40), cause it looks like that the compressor map of the GT40 is very efficient over a huge area. And it's cheaper than a real GT Series Turbo. Goals are, low boost at least 300whp-350whp, and for high boost 450-500 whp.

Now the Blowzilla is in many cofigurations available. T3/GT40, T4/GT40, and with the different turbine housings and wheels, .63, .82, ...

What do you think, which turbine will be the right one?

Thx,
