Default Fixing broken oem ITR injector

Hey.

I got a set of 4 240cc obd2 ITR injector in the mail to use on my b16a2 swap. Only problem is that one of the injectors was damaged.

(The pic is not of the actual injector...)

The plastic part in the red ring was broken on one of my injectors. (The piece is hard brown plastic on the ITR injectors) I was wondering if it is some way of fixing that? Could i just swap the broken piece with a piece from a 240cc d16z6 or 240cc b16a2 (obd1) injector? I've got a few in the garage. Is it glued on or something?

Or do i have to get a new injector?

Any R techs wanna help me out?

-Thanks

Just use ANY B or D series OBD2 Honda injector.

Purchase another set of used OBD2 Honda B/D series injectors. It can't cost much at all.

There's no point trying to fix a broken injector. It is simply not worth the risk, IMHO.

Aww... oh well...

So it's not possible to just swap the broken part over from a obd1 b-series injector?

You're free to do whatever you want to save money.

Personally, I wouldn't risk ruining the spray pattern of one of my injectors. They're a fairly important part of the engine.

I agree with Reid. It ISNT worth the risk of having the wrong spray pattern. A NEW OEM Injector will run you $125+ per.

yea seems liek fuel delivery would be important , unless you have the proper tools to see if the injector is working and spraying properly , i wouldnt stick it in my motor just mt .02 cents

No need to buy 4 if i only need 1.

And it was all just an idea about fixing it. Ill just use the obd1 set og get a new set of obd2. No worries.

Ah, never mind then. Thanks for the help guys.

^ I don't think that's entirely accurate....they're all 240cc.

In response to the question, I agree with the masses....it may be possible to repair the broken one, but it's much faster and easier to just find yourself a replacement.

For the money you will spend on one replacement you can buy ALL of my low milage ones and be done with it. have extras in case. I would keep them, but I sold off all my Hondas and have no use for 240CC's. If they were 550's-1000's I could use them. lol

$50 shipped and you can have them all. 20k miles on them if that

as mentioned, at least 92+ civics and 94+ integras had 240's.. difference is in fuel pressure.. so, in a way, by getting civic injector you're getting something that went through less

on top of whats already said, if i'm to buy used injectors, i'd send them for balancing and cleaning to make sure they work.
