Default Emissions Test.

Am i able to take the emissions test if my SRS, ABS, and ENGINE check lights are on?

you can take it but it will not pass emission because the CEL light is on.

they don't care if you have a SRS/ABS light(if it's still consider safe to drive around), it's not a inspection for the whole vehicle.

who told you this? maybe in a diffrent state but **** that kinda sounds dumb,,, wouldnt they just test it,,,? and if you passed why would they give a ****?

lol, you tell me, they will run a scanner and there's cel , it's a fail

CEL means there is a disorder or a problem with the engine system which causes emissions. Why would an engine system not properly working pass emissions?

Because it isn't working properly and most engines when a CEL is thrown will go into a limp mode which usually means more rich and that will cause more emissions.

oh i see well i just thought they wouldnt give a **** about lights if your car passed the test. but if your saying that the light being on means you wont pass the test ,,, well i guess thats a no brainer

if CEL lite is on they won't even test your car ,,,so if you have lite on don't even bother to go down there it will be a waste of a trip
