Default resgistering a non-op car in california..

its been a while, but back in the day, i non opp'ed one of the vehicals of my fleet, and today i got my renewal in the mail...

if i remember correctly.. don't you have to go to a "test only" when you come out of non op?

Says "Smog Cert." right there doesnt it I think you can take it to any smog place.

OT: Whos license plate ends with "HOE" hahaha

did you not understand? i asked if comming out of non op was a mandatory TEST ONLY.

and how can you tell what my lic. plate ends with.. its removed?

Yes, it needs a smog coming off of non-op (in general). It clearly says it needs a smog on your reg papers.

hoe is short for tahoe. thats the pamphlet for different plates ie save the whales, firefighter, etc.

EDIT: with a non op vehicle i purchased, i took it to just a regular smog.

I just says it needs a smog cert, not a test only. What did the smog insert paperwork say? If nothing you received said that you HAD to go to a TEST ONLY station, any old smog test will work.

if you paper work doesn't tell you where you have to go. when you go to a reg smog place they should know if they can test it or not.

youre right! i remember the non op paper work that came with the car does not indicate that it must be taken to a test only station

thats all i wanted to know..

from talking amungst friends, we were all under then impression any time you come out of non-op, its an automatic "TEST ONLY".. i guess its random.
