Exedy clutch + stock remanufactured flywheel possible?
Exedy organic clutch EX08801C + stock remanufactured flywheel
I searched first but it seems everyone upgrades their flywheel while they're doing the clutch, maybe I'm weird but I don't really care the reman flywheel was cheaper than a performance light weight flywheel
It's a 1989 5(6?)speed RT4WD wagon. The clutch was literally turned into dust so I've taken everything apart and ordered various new parts. As I was putting it all together I lined the clutch up and the pressure plate doesn't fit!! I think I ordered the wrong clutch but I'm kind of confused.
I have an Exedy organic clutch EX08801C.: http://www.coximport.com/auto-....html On the page it says it's for a 1.6 liter AWD 90-91 civic wagon. Was there a change between the years?
Here is a datagrid with all the clutch info I've been looking at and it's really confusing me now: http://www.coximport.com/exedy/Honda_make
Did the '89 come with a 1.6 liter motor? the transmission housing number starts with L3 if that helps narrow this down.
BTW, I'm documenting all of my progress with photos so it should be a nice writeup when I finish and have her running again. 8)
