no write up required...

you need an a6 cam and a y7-y8 cam gear or 96-00 adjustable cam gear

take out the stock b7 cam/gear

replace with a6/y7 cam/ gear

do a valve adjustment

and drive....

go to d-series.org and search next time you have to figure out a d-series tech question.. they have writeups on all the common stuff

it fixing the timing problem you will have.. the cam does not keep the same timing between the a6 and b7.. the y7/y8 gear corrects this issue..(mostly, it is still very slightly off)... an adjustable cam gear for 96-00 sohc is the best way to do it

the cam profiles are not the same...so when u put the new cam in it is going to affect the clearance between the rocker and lobe....that is why u need to readjust ur valve lash in order to keep the proper clearance...there is a trick when doing the valve adjustment where u can finish in half the time....when u r doing cyl.1, cyl.4 will also be at tdc...so adjust the valve lash on cyl.4 at the sdame time...likewise for 2 and 3....make sure to do the exhaust side first and then the intake
