VSS problem, any ideas?
I have replaced the Entire VSS with a brand new honda one! Ive cleaned out the plug from the engine harness.
I still cant get it to work. The speedometer just sits on zero.

k, im gonna try to take apart the plug tonight..

pull cluster, tap into VSS signal with volt meter, jack up one side of the car, turn key to run(engine not running) slowly turn the wheel, watch for the voltage to jump up and down.
if it doesn't look for a problem closer to the VSS.
If it does time for a new speedo or cluster.
have you checked to make sure that the screws in the back of the cluster that holds in the speedo are tight? They hold in the speedo and make connection to the circuit board, a loose one caused my tach to randomly jump around.

Hell yeah, the screws on the back of the speedo were a little lose..
