Default Is your axle supposed to have play in it?

I have a h22 in my accord and I had drive shaft shop make custom axles. Well the shaft can be moved a little back and forth between the cv joints. Is that normal? I keep ripping inner boots. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There is a lil play in the axle when you install it. Its not much though. If you keep on ripping boots you are prob installing them wrong or they clamped the boots weak. Just use stock accord axles they will do and withstand the abuse.
