so i hard-wired my iPod to my Nakamichi CD-45Z headunit, but only 2 speakers play
I hard-wired my iPod (20gb) to my Nakamichi CD-45Z CD player (Honda Civic) using a Bilkin RCA splitter to the AUX outputs in the back of the head unit. But when I'm in AUX mode on my Nakamichi listening to the iPod, none of the controls work (volume, pause, mute, etc.) on the Nakamichi itself (only the iPod) and it only plays through the front two speakers.
Any suggestions?

have you had any problems with that nak deck? how does it sound? how much was it? where did you buy it? what are you running with it?
from reading, he put it into the outputs? he needed to use inputs? if you dont have a cd changer you can use the cd inputs for the ipod.
I've had this deck for 3 years now and have had no problems with it. Hooked up my iPod to the AUX inputs and it works flawlessly. Now i'm looking for an adaptor to have the head unit control and charge the iPod but it will probably take Nak 5 years to develop one!
