Default Question about 6 puck clutch

This is a question for people useing sprung 6 puck clutches.

Ive just installed one in my civic and im getting really bad problems with chattering when i pull away and some times when shifting into second. Ive only done about 90miles on the clutch so far and what i want to know is will the clutch become smoother as it runs in?

I have very good motor mounts and an engine damper so theres no problems there.

I just want peoples input who have driven a lot of miles on a 6 puck clutch.

All my freinds have 6 pucks with springs and they only chatter in nuetrul, never in gear. Are you sure u alligned the clutch right.

The clutch can only chatter when its engaging drive e.g. when pulling away from a standstill, it shouldn,t vibrate or jalt (chatter) the car when in nuetrul. That sounds very odd.

Any more input from people useing this type of clutch?

whats going on every one?

i have a clutch master stage4 clutch witch is a 3 puck sprung clutch and my clutch chatters but i learned to live with it. when i got the clutch the people i got it from told me that it would chatter. i would not of thought of a sprung clutch chattering but when i put the clutch in my self, they were right it started to chatter. but over all it is a nice clutch but it also acts like an unsprung clutch at times witch can be a pain in trafic

hope this help you out some?

Thanks for the advice, mine is a real problem in traffic it feels like its rattleing the hole car to peaces. I though that a sprung clutch would be smooth enough for daily driving, but i thinking about going back to a full disk not a puck clutch. In reverse my exhaust rattles really bad, it sounds like it going to crack my header or something!

Any more people useing these can you tell me if they get better as they brake in?

had mine since march, not getting any better at all. i'm running a act 6 puck clutch. ended up getting it real cheap. i dont recomend it, unless you are putting some crazy power down, which i'm not. so when i need to replace it, i'll just stick with the street disk, with a heavy duty plate
