my friend has an ek and he jes got an obd1 gsr... does he need different motor mount or can he use his?

 

He needs:
-Stock civic upper tranny mount.
-'99-'00 SI rear tranny bracket
-'99-'00 SI driver side mountin bracket(goes between the B series mount that is bolted to the block and the stock civic fluid filled mount on the frame rail)
-B series front tranny mount
-B series AC mounting bracket (if he wants to keep his ac, he needs the bracket from a dohc delsol)
B series shift linkage
B series axles and intermediate shaft.

most authority dont know how to tell what year it is.

I think the authority over in CA is getting smarter.

It used to cost $30 to get our engine swaps certified...now it costs $90, hm i wonder why?

YES, youll have to get a different engine IF you want it to be SMOG LEGAL.

 

can i use b16 motor mounts or no?... the L bracket and the driver side mount

Yeah its hard to tell the years of motors unless ur experienced or look up the vin. anyways it'll be fine everyone does it.
