Default NRG quick release... whats it like?

Found a package deal on classifieds with momo wheel, momo hub, and nrg quick release. I really want this but im concerned about how far this setup puts the steering wheel closer to you. Anyone got any reference pics or feedback? thanks

well to me its just about the same as stock but a little more. maybe like an inch. shouldnt really bother you unless your like 6 foot. using the nrg quick release, personal hub( solid so you cant shove a screw driver in there like the momo one ) and a momo evolution steeringwheel

What exactly is the point of these? Theft deterrence?

I was considering the NRG quick release, but I am having second thoughts about the quality of the NRG unit.

theft deterrence and also it makes more room with the wheel off to get in and out easier.

Also makes accesing behind the steering wheel area easier for things like a heads up display install

I've had 2 NRG quick releases, love them, no play at all. The wheel sits a little closer but it really depends on the hub you get. My MOMO hub I have now is longer than the one in my last car so its sits about 1" closer, but its no biggie.

sure but thats kinda starting to get farfetched and off topic. Its a bitch to get in an out of a car if you have a racing seat with no adjustments when you can detach the wheel and easily climb out.

Wrench on a a slick surface, on top of that no power steering...
You can also get a NRG lock

Yeah, I have a Sparco sprint. Its amazing how much room it is in there when your sitting with no steering wheel, I love it

So which quick release will put the steering wheel closest??

I'm tall and find the seating position less than ideal with the wheel so far away.
