Yeah I'm wondering the same thing, and also... is it possible to install a 92-95 SI cluster into a 93 DX (I'm assuming an SI cluster has a Tach, am I right?) and hook up the tach on the SI cluster in a DX? I'd prefer not to have one of those ghetto *** aftermarket tachs poking out of my dash. Thanks.

black = ground
red = power
white = illumination
green goes to blue wire on driver side shock tower. It'll have a connector/plug and a cap on it usually. Or you can run it from the distributor its by a black wire with a yellow stripe (usually). or you can run it to behind the cluster i believe it was on the harness on the left blue/white
Ground the black wire to the fram.
red goes to letter E
and white goes to D
i might have the letters mistaken someplace but just test it and you will findout.

A stock cluster is plug and play.

can this solid blue wire be found behind the cluster? So I don't have to have any stray wires under the hood.

yes, it should be in the plugs for the cluster. there's also a connector at your drivers side shock tower.. its a blue wire with a cap on the end of it.

if I went with the wire on the fender well, should I just use a wire tap?

just buy an ex cluster and hook up a stationary shift light inside your cluster. just lace it through the solid blue wire using an rpm pill. you tell it what to engage the light at and it looks a hella lot cleaner than some monster tach on your dash!

I already bought a tach off a friend, and a cluster swap isn't going to work... I like to know how many miles are are on the car originally.

This is going to be the easiest and look the cleanest IMO.

why swap out odometers when you can just change the one thats in there to whatever you like?

why not? youre putting the exact same milage that was on there. if you lower it then it would be illegal.
