5th Gen "ODB II?" location
Hey I have emission coming up soon, but my engine light is on. I have to fix the problem anyways, but this give me extra incentive. My problem is that I cannot find my plug and my manual got soaked in brake fluid. Could someone tell me where it is so I can pull the code? A pic would be great also
passenger side under glove compartment in the left side, u will have pull the door away(it looks like its part of the carpet)its little triky just keep looking if dont find it right away (it took my about 2 hours my first time).
Naw, I'm talkin about the plug. AutoZone pulls codes for free, but I looked under the dash and I could not see the plug that looked like /__________\. I'm thinkin its hidden behind some panel
On most cars its usually under the drivers side dash somewhere easily seen, some fords and in the center console ,and so on, try downloading a fsm off the net and it will show a pic of where it is.

Yes the 4th gen is behind the radio in the center console, he has a 5th gen obd2 which the aldl(assembly line data link connector) has a plug for a scanner to plug into.
As stated by Dameltajo, the port is behind a small panel on the passenger's side of the center console, next to the radio, under the dash. The 2 pin "jumper" connecter is also behind that panel, right next to the ODB-II port.
