Need a little advice,guidance,and knowledge
ok...i have a 94 integra RS
its boosted...ls turbo,with a JDM ITR front end,that i just bought last month,off another guy for 1100...
now 2 days ago,i was driving, and a girl tries to cut across the intersection, and beat oncoming traffic...didnt get across in time..and clipped my front end.
my drivers side is fucked :
1. the radiator support on that side is bent a little
2.the headlight is in pieces
3. the fender (which is made out of fiberglass, sucks) is cracked all to hell
4. the hood is bent downward and inward
basically the front end isnt salvagable...luckily..it isnt my fault..and her insurance company is paying for the damages..
now i work at a Ford dealership, and it just so turns out,her insurance company deals directly with the body shop at my job..so they said they could send the info to the body shop..the body shop will take pictures, and get an estimate, and fix the damage.
question is..since its an aftermarket front end..what do i tell the body shop? do i tell them i want a replacement JDM front end? do i tell them that i want a USDM front end? i dont know how they are going to take this whole situation...are there any chances they wont give me another jdm front end..or the damages wont be high enough to just get a check from them, and order another one? what should i do?
if anyone knows anything about this situation,or can shed some light on what will probably happen..that would be great...thanks.

Usually you get money for the damages, I would think that all brand new oem honda u.s. stuff is a lot more expensive all together than the jdm r front end. Meaning you could come out with money.

1. by law, the insurance company has to get your car to the state it was before the accident. with that being said, the b/s has to get an estimate of how much it would cost to get a new jdm front end on. in most cases, they wont know where to start since its jdm
2. so if the estimate does get too high, they will end up totaling your vehicle
3. i personally would get the bodyshop to estimate right before it totals the car, then just settle with the insurance co, get the check, order a new front end from passwordjdm, then take it to a shop or whoever to do the front end. that way you know that you're keeping your car, its not going to be salvage, and you get a nice front end and maybe even some money in your pocket

thats what i was hoping to hear...thanks for the clearity
also...i think i have luck on my side..seeing as i know the guys at the body shop..and they said they would take care of me,and look out for me...i mean i will be happy as long as i get a brand new front end..i dont care if its usdm or jdm...i mean i would love to order another jdm front end off password, with a CF hood and front lip..but we'll see.
