Accord headlight adjustmnet
Hit a deer a few weeks ago and took out my right headlight and the brace behind it. When I picked the car up the the light was really off. Went back and had they corrected it and I asked how it was adjusted. Went in back and saw they adjusted by shinning the head lights about 10 feet from a wall. Is this the correct way? I think it still does not show out far enough. Car is a 2000 Accord SE. Thought their was a tool for this
Thanks

Well my manual says 25 feet away from the wall, but that is how it's done. If on level ground, the spot on the wall should be 2.1 inches below headlight at 25 feet, and straight ahead.
There is a tool / fixture that is used; but the "Wall Projection" method works best. It involves the use of a yard stick and an educated eye ball.
Generally, For Height, you want the headlight's "Hot Spot" to center on a line 4" lower than the headlight centerline at 25 feet. For the Horizontal, choose your preferences, but I sight both L & R just inboard of a line scribed by the side of the car.

Call me crazy, but I believe "Vertical Angle Guage" is the name of the special tool you inquired of earlier.
I do not believe it's incorporated into the headlamp housings, nor supplied with the vehicle.
