Default emissions problems....

heres whats goin down.. (97 civic w/b18b obd2)

in early august, i installed a "vibrant" (i think) highflow cat. a few weeks later, i threw a code for the secondary o2, but i didnt care. i drove around with the check engine light on untill 2/3 weeks ago. i had the 2nd o2 swapped for a newer one, but the check engine light was still on. turns out, i was throwing a code for the primary o2 this whole time.

so i spend the money, and bought a brand new oem honda primary o2 sensor, and a newer 2nd o2. had them installed, all is good.

i drove for 3 days, and my check engine light comes back on. its code 67. which is like, "catalyst system efficiency below threshold" or some ****.

so i reset the ecu, and it was off for about a week, and then it turned back on again. does this mean i need a new cat? or is it because my cat is a "vibrant high flow cat"?

also, i think i hear a rattlling. it only happens from 3000rpms to like 3400rpms, then it goes away. its comming from right under the shifter, but its got plenty of clearance. i dunno what taht could be.... could it be the cat?

please help me out, i need to take emissions test in a week or two, and id like to pass on the 1st try....

thanks for any help

is there substrate in this high flow cat or is it hollow? if it is hollow, you need an o2 sim. or the vibrant isnt good enough to fully render the hc's.

pull the cat and look inside. shake it around and see if there is something loose. the code you had pop up is typical of a cat that isn't working, or you have no cat.
