Plastigauge a h23 Vtec???
I'm doing a h23 vtec over the winter with some crower h23 rods. I was wondering if I could use a plastiguage to check my rod and main bearing clearance?
also can some one tell me the h23 rod bearing size spec and h22 main bearing spec so I know what to be looking for?

I know I need the manual for torque and bearing specs, but I was just wondering if the plastic guage would work to measure the rod and main bearings with the crower rods?
why wouldnt it work, your not changing anything, crower wouldnt just make up the size of the bore in their rods.
I have crowers, just use factory specs. i would buy a honda black book if i were you. it will have every tiny piece of info you could ever want to know and more. i bought one from ebay for 40 bucks i'm sure you can find one. if you are really feeling lazy email me and i'll copy "some" of the illistrations for you.

thanks for the info, I just wanted to make sure it was a good way to go with out having to send my engine to a machine shop. I know what bearings to get. When you go to honda you have the choise from the diffrent collor code bearings for a tighter or loser bearing clearance, what one is better for my n/a set up?
