Default turbo (where to start)

Im Planning on turboing my 93 ls, but i honestly dont know where to start. Ive seen many other posts with people saying "research", but are there any good sources for that. I just want some more power, but not make the car unable to be a daily driver. My price range is probly gonna be around 3,000...enough?, thanx for the advice

for 3,000 you can buy a nice turbo kit and call it a day, with the exception of some good fuel management and tune.

Or you can piece it together like im doing, but im starting upgrades on my intake manifold and fuel delivery first. After, just gonna start buying the pieces and turbo my 00 LS stock motor. Once that is tuned and i have a smile on my face, ill be upgrading my tranny, block, then head in that order. hope that helps some what.

It's not the best but it will give you a fairly good concept of everything you need and how it works

i always tell ppl to get the TURBO first. cause then you can determine your downpipe, manifold, (whether or not u need an external wastegate), etc

do u want to make your own kit, or go with a kit like greddy, revhard, drag..etc, what are your power goals? fisrt determine these two things, if u don't know how turbo's work i don't suggest u making your own, also to do it right expect to spend some $$$$.. also is smog an issue?
