Make sure you get an oem honda/acura thermostat. The aftermarket thermostats you get at a parts store are garbage

i have a spoon low temp thermostat and spoon fan switch and my car does not ever go more than a couple cm past the C. i have never had a problem with it and from what i have seen from it it has actually been better.

you would be better off with a dohc vtec waterpump and a gsr timing belt, along with a vtec oil pump

not really, its not good for an engine to never reach normal operating temperature, the piston doesnt fully expand when not to normal temp, causing more ring where in the cylinder....also, the ecu wont ever close loop=bad fuel economy etc etc etc...

the saying is "i'd rather buy a car with 100K freeway miles, than a car with 20K street miles of the same cost".....

Odd.....

I'd say you have a problem with either your ECT or your thermostat. If you are looking for the real time temp of your coolant then invest in an aftermarket gauge and sending unit. You should be sitting at around 120-130 under normal driving.

dont worry about the catalytic bro..

just change that T-stat, its stickin open, running open loop causing it to run rich=black smoke...

NEVER buy an aftermarket T-stat, they suck *** seriously...
