Default Shielded wire (B16 conversion in EF)

trying to think of anything that i changed recently that could have fried my ECU

I cleaned up the wiring from my swap, extended the wires so they could run through the harness

I remember that one of the wires was shielded (i dont knw which one) and the wire that i extended it with was not shielded, how do you deal with that?

(BTW, as i know it shielded wire is copper wire, insulated, surrounded w/ more wire, and insulated again)

The shielded wire shielding is grounded out. So if your connection is not great, you could be grounded out that "sensor" wire inside of the shielding.

You could double check everything that you extended and messed with to make sure that nothing is grounding out were it shouldn't be.

How do you know that the ECU is fried? What is it doing, if anything?

car wont do anything w/ the PR3, wont turn over
swapped in a PM6 and the car runs fine

i had just put a new headunit in, drove the car around the block, woudlnt' rev past 3k, check engine light came on but the led on the ECU wasn't blinking

took the car home, parked it, and 5 minutes later it woudltn' restart.

What do you think?
