k guys well my zc plans fell through b/c it was a d16a1 instead of the zc. well i have a z6 motor setting in my garage but dont want to have to put the whole motor in right now.

what will it take to put the z6 head on my a6 block?

You will need a Z6 or Y8 headgasket, Z6 timing belt, and figure out if you are going to convert to OBD1 or stay OBD0. If you stay OBD0, you will need to modify your distributor to fit the Z6 head, and you will need some sort of VTEC activation device (rpm switch, VAFC, etc.). If you convert to OBD1, you will need an OBD1-OBD0 wiring conversion harness and a P28 ecu.

oh, i see

well from what i know you need...

z6 head, z6 timing belt, wiring for the vtec, p28 ecu, and aside from intake and exhaust gaskets that possibly might be it, i suggest you use the z6 intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail, fpr, and stuff... since i havent done my swap yet i can't really say much more here is a link that will help

what would be a good price to pay for this block just for the pistons, and is there anything special i would need to do to put the pistons in
