i think it would be more of a bitch to put in. You figure that the z6 was an obd-I car and the y8 is a obd-2 car. I'm kinda drunk right now so here's what i think the problems will be....
Parts needed....
z6 head
z6 timing belt
p28 ecu
Problems...
how you gonna run the obd-I into a obd-2 car? o2 simulator for one of the o2 sensors?
will the z6 timing belt work? like does the y8 and the z6 have the same number of teeth?
wiring will be a bitch i think...
compression will be different btw....

True, I have a z6 head on a y7 block and it runs well. don't listen to the drunk guy, all you need is the head, everything else is th same, you migh have trouble bolting your OBDII dizzy to the OBDI head, i used my friends OBDI dizzy and wired on my OBDII plug from my original distributor.
