which two of those ex transmission have shorter gear ratios? need to know asap

my y8 tranny reved about 200rpm higer on the highway, if that helps any

i dont ever really look, i just look at rpm's here and there most my shift are 2800-3000 but i dont even look anymore i just shift, after a while youll hear what sounds right, but when on the freeway at 65 on mine im around 3000

Is this with an aftermarket tach? The stock tach can be off by as much as 400 RPM in the top end RPM range.

I change from 1st to 2nd at about 35, 2nd to 3rd about 54 and I don't remember after that. I know that at 90 mph in 5th I'm at 4000 RPM even.

you take the rpm's that high every shift, by the time im doing 35 im bombing 4th

same stock tach same speed etc.... theres no reason that it'd be off comparing it against itself.

Now if I was comparing a stock tach to an aftermarket tach it'd be a different story

o...anyone know what mph you go from 3rd to 4th..are you sure about 2nd to 3rd at 54?

yea 2nd to 3rd at 54 is a little high, but seeing his other shift points it prolly strung out

dont know...about 1,2,4,5 but my 3rd tops out at 83-84mph...
