I am building an LSV and i am putting ctr pistons in. My question is "what are of me getting detonation on that kind of compression? I am also putting a gsr head.
If i do get detonation, what can i do to reduce the chances of messing anything up?

 

You can run a water injection kit. That will reduce your detonation. Most people use them for turbo cars so they can run 5-10 more pounds of boost before they reach detonation.

is this for real or are you just making up yer dream list of parts and then asking away?

cause pistons arent gonna give you detonation (and i know youre thinking pre-detonation right?)

 

If you get detonation use a higher octane fuel or pull timing. Also tuning is key in any performance vehicle.
