I was working on my car on the weekend, installing power windows, mirrors, locks etc. I got them all in no problem, they work perfect, even with my home made floor harness. I had the negative battery terminal disconnected.
Cleaned up the car and tools and went inside for the night (Sunday.) I went to start my car up yesterday morning to go to work and it wouldn't turn on. When I got home on Friday night from work it was fine.
It turns over and starts for about 3 seconds then dies. If I put my foot on the gas, it will stay running for a bit but not rev past 2000 rpm. But even then it will die after about 10 seconds.
The main relay is not the problem, I have tested it. The fuel pump primes, I can hear it and I checked voltage at the connector. The BLK/YEL wires at the injectors have +12V when the key is in the on position. I jumped the service connector to check for codes and got a solid CEL. I don't think the ECU is at fault, as the CEL would indicate, because I have voltage at the injectors.
Is there any particular wires I could have messed up when I was under the dash doing the wiring for the locks, etc? I had a look and didn't see anything, but I could have missed something.
I guess my next task is to check for spark and do a quick compression test.
I will continue to trouble shoot. But in the mean time I'm hoping someone will have the "quick" fix.

Sounds to me like something is grounding out... Just a shot in the dark though. Did you try disconnecting your home made floor harness for all the power stuff and see if it stays started?

No, but I did pull the fuses from the fuse box. But its worth a shot for sure, I will do that when I get home from work.
Keep them coming!

yep.. grounding wire.. iut sounds like
bust out the multimeter and trace ur paths.. its a proven, yet time consuming method.
recheck ur relays too
