Default will ecu keep car from starting?

alright heres whats up, blew my y8 dropped a y7 in didnt get the ecu cuz we broke the cam out of the y8 head(which we were swappin) so now i got the whole y7 in and its all together how it should go. I got good spark oil fuel ect... turns over but wont actually start. could it be that the y8 ecu is throwing codes and preventing it from starting? i know i need to get the other ecu but i figured itd at least start up. please help...

The Y8 ecu will look for the VTEC oil pressure switch and solenoid, as well as a knock sensor. I'm not sure if that will prevent it from starting...

It should start the car. Make sure you have all the vacuum lines connected and the timing is on the money.

none of these will prevent the car from starting

get all the codes its throwing..you can get these without starting it...using a jumper

it most likely is not the ECU...
