Default Sirius/XM in an EP3 (or Civic, or RSX...)

Just bought a Sirius radio (Sportster) but how the heck do I get the antenna outside? I have no clue.

I've heard a few people say it'll work fine out the dash but I'd like to get it outside the car if possible. Anyone else done it like that?

i ran mine under the carpet, down the passenger side. i removed the rear spoiler, threaded the wire through the flexible conduit you see when you open the hatch and the antenna sits just in front of the rear spoiler .

That's what I did. The antenna sits directly behind the factory antenna maybe a 1/4 inch or less where the wire runs into the top of the hatch.

Thanks for the suggestions.
My friend said he just ran his through the hatch, don't think he took the spoiler off though. I'm gonna try it on the dash and if it doesn't work too well I'll move it outside.

ok heres what you do to make it clean. run it thru a hole in the firewall. now remove one of the plastic trim pieces from the side of the windsheild and tuck the wire in there. then run it up the rubber trim on the top op the windsheild tot he middle and mount the antenna. then put back the plastic trim piece and you have a clean install.

Must be stealthy, because I don't remember even noticing the extra antenna.

Of course, I'm usually busy looking at the wheels & brakes on that car.

I set it up last night (just put it on the dash) and it seems to work okay. I'm thinking about running it up to the sunroof and through there but I'm worried about that little metal piece that goes up/down on the Si...hmmm.
