In that other thread it seems like you guys are arguing around each other.
One, that the itr is a great, complete vehicle.
Two, that an fi gsr is faster (in a straight line) than an itr, for less money.
The other poster doesn't seem like he's ever spent any time, on a track, in either car, or any car for that matter.

I got a kick out of that read, but can't understand why you tried to reason with the guy.....
And since when did knightsport get into the nsx forum as a moderator? I thought he was only a kills mod...

Why is there no "apples to apples" comparison. Sure a 671 blown mustang GT will be faster than my ITR but I've proven that I'm faster than them stock vs. stock. FWIW it was a 98 GT. Anyway why can't dude just look at the stock for stock on the cars. I don't think dude even tracks the car.
Because ITR's are teh suck to everyone but the people that own them. Might seem like a cocky, arrogant, and ignorant statement but before I owned one Isaid I'll **** on an ITR with my swapped hatches. In a straight line I would have but in everything else the R would eat my lunch. I never realized it fully until I owned one.

That really isn't saying much.......... look at who he is confronting.
On the record for taking a stock R over a FI GSR, but wouldn't trade/sell my GSR for one.

nsxtacy - you must be bored today.
Seems like all that guy's comparing is straight-line. Of course a turbo GSR will take an R in the straights. But then again, a turbo hatch will obliterate the GSR-T for half the cost.
Just let him think the R's aren't worth it. Maybe there will be less thefts.

As much as I'd like to say the Type-R is a huge performance upgrade from my GSR, it honestly wasn't. It may be because I never drove the cars on a real track, and I'm aware of how much harder you can push the car in that environment.
Since I dont have the time or money to attend track events however, I drive the car like most of the sport compact drivers of the country would; reasonably hard on "those" windy roads in the middle of the woods. I've been pretty stupid in the past (aka drove them very hard on occasion) and the difference between my GSR (w/ jdm gsr swap and kaaz LSD, KYB/GC, ITR swaybar, azenis) and my ITR (with the same boltons) is not huge. I can defniately say that the ITR has the edge though. I guess it gets more attention too, which is cool sometimes, othertimes not.
Just the opinion of an unqualified street enthusiast. I know I'll probably get flamed...

Well yeah, I know what you mean but thats pretty much what my point is. Unless you plan on tracking the car regularly, there is not a huge difference, even during "spirited driving" on the street, so unless you care about the ITR badge, a modded GSR is a better value.

I noticed one. No other caR I have ever driven has ever made cheese when I got on it the way my R does. That's why I'm already planning on buying my next one
