Default driver's side window sticking

My window is behaving strangely.

When I wind it down the motor seems barely able to pull it down for the first half of travel. It works fine once it's half-way down. It also has no trouble going back up, and when it rains it goes down and up just fine.

Anybody else have this happen, and if so, what fixed it?

mine did that chit and it was the rubber weather strip it was sticking on down inside the door. floded the strip back and it was fine ever since.

I was having the same problem with the piece of weather stripping inside the rear edge of the mirror. I came unglued and was flopping around for a while until I tore it off. The window rattles a little when the window is down and I close the door, but I can live with it.

Ah. I'll have to take a look at the weatherstripping.

I just sprayed a bit of silicon lubricant in the channel at the rear edge, so I'll see if that helps.

my window goes down kinda slow and gets stuck ~1" from the top when rolling it up. I've tried silicon to no avail and the weatherstriping seems to be okay.

yshi - whose been procrastinating taking his kaa in for warranty

the only time that mine has ever stuck was when the car sat out on the driveway during a particullarly cold night. it was all frosty and whatnot the next morning. i don't think this has anything to do with your post. sorry...

hey yoshi, mines is like yours. it gets stuck at the top around 1-2 inches before. I know its the rear view mirror forcing pressure on the window. I don't know how to fix it.
